Expectations
01
Before the experience, what did you think would happen?
Prior to actually sitting down and writing my book, I didn't think I would create a quality end product. I knew I would be happy that I actually got around to doing it, though.
02
What did you expect to gain from an educational stand-point?
From an education standpoint, I think managing my time was something I knew I would have to learn. On top of that, I expected to learn how to characterize and build plot points.
03
What new knowledge did you hope to gain from this experience?
I hoped to gain a sort of wisdom if I can describe it that way. After writing a novel, there's a level of depth that I had wanted to achieve that wasn't there before.
04
What new relationships did you gain from this experience?
I think I somehow grew closer with myself. I was able to understand my mind a bit better. I learned about myself in ways I did not anticipate.
05
How did you think you would benefit from your involvement?
I think having written a novel, I have concrete proof of my work - it's not just in my head anymore. This prepares me for my next steps if I wanted to get published.
